The invention and application of the internet technology have had profound influences upon the development of human history. Since 1990s, the new World Wide Web technology further popularized the application of the internet, which immensely changed people's life and mind. The internet's open features and its hyperlink and hypermedia technology fundamentally changed the production, publication, transmission and usage of information. And the researches on the organization, management and development of the internet information resources never stopped since the beginning of the internet. With the rapid growth of World Wide Web user, the internet is going through a qualitative change. The upgrade of the internet is not just technological, but net-socially systematical, which is the coming of Web 2.0 era.As an internet application, the essence of Web 2.0 is the socialization of the internet, which will pay more attention on the individual's role in the internet, emphasized personality, decentralization, interaction and cooperation. In contrast to Web 1.0, Web 2.0 is more likely a return to the essence of internet:equality, sharing, interaction and cooperation. Web 2.0, which is a fundamental revolution, changed the way the internet currently provides information. The internet users will not simply receive information, they will also provide and transmit information, which will enormously change the whole internet society system and will be quite different from the traditional internet information structure, which is mainly dominated by the few. In China and abroad, a lot of researches have been done on Web 2.0 in many different aspects, expect that few systematic researches focus on its way of information organization.Base on information organization theory, the paper tries to systematically researches on the way Web 2.0 organizes information through the analysis of the development of Web 2.0 and the contrast with the way the traditional internet organizes information in order to offer some valuable information about the better development of Web 2.0 and necessary references for the enhancement of the efficiency and quality of information service under Web 2.0 environment.
