The feed water control system of once-through boiler is a typical large inertia and large delay thermal object. The conventional control strategy is use PID controller to control intermediate point's temperature or intermediate point's enthalpy. In this paper, State variable-Fuzzy control Algorithm is used to overcome the inertia and the time delay of the waterwall, to make better the dynamic characteristics of the plant and to improve the control quality.The mathematical model of the feed water control system object is built through the power plant once-through feed water control system's test data fitting. The State variable-Fuzzy controller is designed for the mathematical model and simulated in MATLAB. Simulation results show that the State variable-Fuzzy controller can control the plant well and has good robustness and good anti-disturbances ability.
