In our country, most medium and small-sized boiler control systems in our country, their automated level and security are low. Their efficiency is commonly lower than the national standards. In this paper, a control system scheme of IPC-PLC is proposed; the paper discussed the design of control algorithms of the boiler system after determining the architecture of the control system.Maintaining drum water level in the set range is necessary condition of ensuring boiler's safety running. The paper designed the fuzzy adaptive PID control system. This system gets over disadvantage of no precision and difficult to adjust parameter for using tradition control methods. The aim of boiler combustion control is achieving the coal's sufficiently combustion and guaranteeing the steam pressure at the same time, the system realized the coal's economical combustion through adopting self-optimizing control method.The design of hardware and software control system is realized based on the theoretical research. This monitoring and controlling system is made up of Siemens S7-300PLC and IPC. The software for IPC is developed by KingView6.52.The S7-300 series PLC of Siemens Company is adopted in the field control system. The system is programmed by the corresponding program software STEP7. With the program language STL and LAD, automatic control for the boilers has been realized, such as data collection, signal transform, three impulses control for the water level, combustion process control, steam pressure control and control loops for craftwork and interlock, etc.The whole system is an amicable man-machine interface by using the configuration software KingView6.52. The IPC program blocks consist of system safe block, interface block, monitoring and controlling blocks, history data querying, control adjusting block, data dealing block, etc. Moreover, automatic storage of important boiler run data, and automatic print of reports in need is realized.
