With the computer and microelectronics technology, programmable system on chip (SOPC) to small size, low power consumption, programmability, and high reliability, etc. are widely used in engineering. Solar lighting system is a solar power will be used as lighting facilities, in this paper, on the SOPC technology in the solar lighting controller applied research, to achieve control of the solar lighting systems intelligent control.This paper studies the SOPC development process, development of language and development environment, analysis NiosⅡcustom, power supply, system clock, temperature sampling and A/D conversion circuit design, using SOPC Builder to build the IP core of the simulation and system integration; the SOPC technology into the design of solar lighting controller, solar cells and batteries for the working principle and operating characteristics studied were given controller charging stage, the discharge phase and the MPPT control flowchart and programming.
