Designing And Implementation Of Uyghur Webmail System Based On Linux

Today E-mail is the most extensive service on the Internet. The e-mail system has already become mature based on Chinese and English now. But there has no mature e-mail system which can effectively support Uyghur especially under the environment of Linux. This paper gives some research and design on this aspect.This paper introduces the design and implementation of webmail system based on Linux. We first describe the composition of e-mail,the transport protocols,the organizational structure and the working process of email. And basically introduce the webmail built on Linux environment. Including the mail databases,the e-mail authentication,and the development environment of Linux webmail client. Then we discuss the architecture of LU-Webmail, as well as virtual users, virtual mailbox, and unified database certification. By analyzing the mail format of Linux mail server, and the problems of mail accessed by POP3 or IMAP protocol, Combineding with javamail technology. We achieve to access the mail folder directly by using non-standard protocol in webmail client. We also discuss the related issues about Uyghur localization of webmail client. Finally we conclude the work and disscuss the prospect of LU-Webmail.
