Lighting control system is performing engineering, one of the main object of study, but also various types of performances (shows) the necessary, the most important equipment systems in the world. As the science and technology, especially computer technology and automation development of the theory for the lighting system control technology has created extremely favorable conditions. Traditional analog dimming technology because of its anti-interference ability is poor, accuracy is not high and the control signal is not easy storage inherent defects, and in many occasions can not meet the demand, has been gradually withdraw from the stage of history, were all replaced by digital dimming technology. Full digital dimming technology with computer technology and the development of ultra large scale integrated circuit developed.In this paper, the status of lighting control at home and abroad, put forward the desktop or portable computer for the operating platform lighting aided design software and the corresponding input and output signal interface instead of the traditional dimming annex Taiwan, this new system because of their use of portable, flexible, visual effects and efficiency advantages of increasingly large dimming division favorite, from a development point of view, the system's network functions can be developed much stronger than the actual dimming Taiwan. Believed that with the lighting control network era, will play a more important role.Present paper's prime task has the research to analyze DMX512, USB, the CAN agreement, the USB-DMX512 adapter, the DMX512/CAN bridge's hardware design, adapter's hardware protocol conversion function realizes mainly uses Atmel Corporation's monolithic integrated circuit AT89C52, USB control chip CH375 and the main line driver chip SN75176 composition; The bridge realizes mainly uses Atmel Corporation's monolithic integrated circuit AT89C52, Philips Corporation's CAN controller SJA1000 and CAN the transceiver TJA1050 composition. The protocol specifications uses USB1.1 and CAN 2.0B. The firmware program uses KEILC51 the standard C compiler development, before the entire procedure uses, the backstage interrupt recurrent structure, backstage interrupt service (ISR) and between the onstage master routine circulation data exchange realizes through the event flag and the data buffer.In view of the system application software visit to the adapter the request, referred to its hardware platform structure and the firmware function, the design develops the equipment (Windows Driver Model) the pattern namely to insert based on WDM namely uses the driver. Introduced driver's principle of work, has given the driver structure as well as the development disposition model, has discussed the basic principle which in detail the driver realizes namely inserts namely uses and realizes the method, finally aimed at the adapter as well as the driver has carried on the analysis and the research, the design has developed the test application procedure and the light edit control application procedure.
