With the rapid development of urban construction, people are increasingly demanding the urban environment. Urban landscape lighting has become a showcase of urban style, which is an important symbol of the city. There are two shortcomings of studying on urban landscape lighting currently. On the one hand, most of the lighting control system is mainly single building system, landscape lighting of the city level and network control system is rare. On the other hand, the control modes of the urban landscape lighting were timing control and manual control which were backward control modes. With the increasing numbers of landscape lighting, the various landscape lighting systems need effective control and should compose an automated and centralized control system that is very important. This is the starting point of the article. This article presented a design of wireless landscape lighting control platform based on ARM-Linux. Firstly, the article proposed the whole system design, control scheme and workflow; secondly, especially described the design of subsystem's hardware and software including ARM-Linux core system; WCDMA network driver implemented by "USB mode switch" and implement subsystems access WCDMA network; Implemented the UART interface into lighting control protocol interface by development of firmware design based on PowerPSoC chip, which protocols include DMX512, DALI, SPI and D/A etc. As well, detailed described how to implement the "bridge" which was the UART protocol transferred to DMX512 protocol. By using WCDMA network and TCP/IP technology, the remote control center could send commands and encoding lighting effects data to the subsystems, the subsystems decoded the data and transmitted it to output interfaces to achieve lighting control. The results show that through asynchronous or synchronous control of subsystems, an overall coordination of lighting effects in a region realized. Through unified management the urban digital landscape lighting realized finally.
