Design & Development Of College Student Apartment Management System

With the exploration and development of universities, the issue about how to manage collage apartment efficiently has been a key question for the manager of the universities. In this article, Northwest A&F University is taken as study case due to its obsolete management measures. In order to inquire the students'accommodation situation and basic information quickly, reduce the work of student's apartments manager as well, it is necessary to design and development useful information system. In this paper, CSAMS is designed and developed due to its adoptability for us to search useful information effectively and timely. CSAMS is also an information sharing system for students and apartment. So it is benefit to improve the level of education and management.Base on the former research about information management of college student apartment, according to the existed flaws, the current management condition of Northwest A&F University about student apartment is analyzed and summarized. Simultaneously, a comparatively thorough technical framework of CSAMS is designed. Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 is taken as the development tools, c # is taken as the developed language, XML is taken as the backend data storage medium, Microsoft.net Framework 3.5 is taken as building blocks, and the CSAMSystem is developed subsequently.Based on the perspective of actual application, the investigation and analysis of actual situation of student apartments management of the Northwest A&F University are performed. Nearly all dormitories manager are interviewed in order to make sure the accuracy of the unified information about allocation, health inspection, registration and appraisal, etc.. Thus, the basic functions of CSAMS is proposed and concluded.The advantage of CSAMS is that it can update data automatically, identify available information, query information using different columns and optional conditions, etc.. At the same time, the CSAMS software also provides abundant system functions and it is more helpful and convenient for users with the help of system documents. While, the disadvantages of CSAMS is mainly about its extendibility, and it should be further improved.
