With the fast development and popularization of computer and network technology, to be networking has become an obvious trend for embedded systems in new generation, which could accomplish the ability of transferring data from remote destination, remote monitor and control. As a result, electrocardiogram equipment with remote monitor ability becomes a trend.The paper describes the overall design of transmission system for the remote electrocardiogram equipment. In order to complete the transfer function, using TCP/IP protocol in SCM to accomplish Embedded Ethernet on software design level. And comparing TCP and UDP protocols is done according to features of ECG data.The paper also analyzes the advantages of adapting Microcontroller C8051F120 and Ethernet Controller CP2201 in terms of functions of transmission system. Analysis of pin connections and internal components usage for Microcontroller is done. Research of connection mode, pin connection and memory usage of Ethernet Controller is included in this paper.In order to complete Embedded Ethernet software system, follow items are done. Build a network framework on the target board and modify the microcontroller's functions of the target board. Add a data transfer module including user datagram protocol and transmission control protocol. Do feasibility analysis of the protocols. And add application modules NetFinder and Telnet.Finally, debugging the system from hardware and software level to validate the transmission capability of the system is done. The transmission quality of the system meets the accuracy requirement according to the validation. Real-timing and security issues of embedded system need further research in future to expand the usage in other fields.
