Research On The Application Of Ad Hoc Net Work Routing Protocols In The Military Operations

Ad hoc network is a self-organizing network based on wireless channel with the characteristics of dynamic changing and no centering. Due to the characteristics of networking flexibility, mobility, survivability and no needing to fix the support of the infrastructure, Ad hoc networking technology has been used for the formation of national army tactical communication network. Routing protocol is an important component of Ad hoc network, the research on Ad hoc network routing protocol have a great significance in developing new routing technology needed in army and guiding army choose the best network routing protocols in different stages of military operations.There are different types of Ad hoc Network Routing Protocols with different performance, different routing Protocols may have different performance in the same communication scenarios. The same routing Protocols may have different performance in different communication environment. So in this paper we use the NS2 network simulation software to simulate the Even formed combat units and the Construction and production of combat units as well as the special communication environment of the Motor march,lightning war and the sustained combat, Simulating several common routing Protocols used in army, the simulation result are analysed and researched. By comparing the performance of various routing protocols in different stages of military operations and combat units, this paper make a conclusion on which combat units should be selected in military operation, giving a routing protocol reference program on formation of tactical self-organization communication network in the special communication environment of the motor march,lighting war and the sustained combat of the even formed combat units under the conditions of the information local wars.
