The traditional cable TV is on two-way network transformation stage. EPON_EOC is the popular technology for transformation and is widely tried and deployed in a lot of regions in recent years. Aiming at the problem that most reports about EPON_EOC network emphasized on networking options,improvement of network performance,improvement of stability,etc,while the network access control was less researched,a kind of AAA authentication management system on EPON_EOC network was designed and implemented here.Firstly,kinds of cutting-edge technology of authentication was analyzed in this paper. And the AAA authentication program based on Radius and 802.1x was put forward after in-depth studies of the IEEE802.1x and Radius protocols. Secondly, considering the feature of EPON_EOC network,the AAA authentication management system was designed. The system was devided into authentication module,configuration management module and database module to achieve. The study focused on authentication module,"five elements" bind authentication,unique user authentication, CA Certificate authentication and other features was designed and implemented,based on which real-time billing capability was achieved.Finally,with existing equipment of EPON and EOC in laboratory,test network of EPON_EOC was set up. And the designed AAA authentication system was processed a test. The test result was analyzed and the improvement of system was proposed.The AAA authentication management system designed here has comprehensive function,good extensibility and reuse. The authentication and billing functions of authentication module was implemented based on open-source freeradius,the J2EE framework was used for configuration management module implementation to providing B/S configuration interface. MySQL was used as database for unified management of data of the whole system. All the proposed research in this thesis not only have practical application value, but also provide reference value for the further research of access control on EPON EOC network.
