The Application And Implementation Of RADIUS Authentication Protocol In The WLAN

WLAN,because of its flexibility and mobility, convenient installation characteristics which cable networks can not achieve in the world, has been widely used. The WLAN widely used in the network and the coverage become widely,so there are more problems than before. The user security access problems have gradually aroused strong concern of operators. The operator through the strict network access, to authorize the user specified network access ability, management and monitoring of user behavior. In the network, access network is important, it can be effective to prevent unauthorized users from using cyber source in the source. Then introduced to the user access management accounting.Core user access management is AAA (Authentication, Authorization, Accounting, authentication, authorization, accounting). Radius system is one of the main ways to achieve AAA. ISP user’s identity can be authenticated by Radius system and can get the user to the network resource usage and accurate billing. RADIUS has good security, expansion flexibility, easy management and a strong accounting functions. Therefore, the study Radius agreement to develop Radius module has significance and commercial value.The research content of this topic is the analysis of system structure of the AC in WLAN, Analyzed a variety of AC authentication which commonly used in WLAN, as well as their background, principle and the working process. Analyzed the relevant RFC documents of RADIUS, the principle and the working process of the RADIUS protocol, finally realized RADIUS protocol on the WLAN network in AC through WEB certification and EAP certification,and improve user authentication, implementation, billing management.
