The application of Laser displacement sensor based on triangulation is extremely broad. Whether it is for quality assurance, for applications in maintenance and service, for process and machine monitoring, in automation or in research and development sensors make a vital contribution to the improvement of products and processes. Currently there is still no mature triangulation laser displacement sensor products come out in domestic market, the domestic market is totally occupied by foreign products, while the price of foreign products is very expensive. Therefore, the work to find the gaps of output characteristics of the laser displacement sensor with foreign products, propose improvement scheme is of great value.This paper is based on the principle of the triangular measurement and adopts the semiconductor laser as the lamp-house, build two sets of measurement system based on four-quadrant detector and the linear CCD array detector. It makes a detailed analysis of choosing every part of the measurement system, works out a method to enhance the resolution of the measurement under the premise that a relatively long measure distance is assured. The main work of this paper is as follows:1.Design the laser displacement sensor based on the four-quadrant detector, And debugging, calibration and testing of the sensor. It achieved the desired linear range. It is suitable for small range and high-precision measurements.2.Design the laser displacement sensor based on the linear CCD array detector, And debugging, calibration and testing of the sensor. It is suitable for large range and medium-precision measurements.3. We compared output characteristics of self-designed based on linear CCD laser displacement sensors with similar foreign sensor. We tested both of them for different surfaces (color, material, roughness, tilt). Analysis of the reasons of these gaps theoretically, put forward the improvement plan. It provides a reference for improving the design of the sensor afterward.
