It becomes urgent problems to solve the mechanical properties of materials, more and more widely to new material application demands for various trades, with the rapid development of industrial control technology. Electronic universal testing machine as used widely standard test equipment, it needs to test the mechanical properties of materials to the quality inspection of the various materials testing, materials research and experimental aspects of teaching. PC-based electronic universal test machine with good test performance, test data, the curve display intuitive, accurate motion control, the system configuration is simple, data-processing capability. Electronic universal testing machine control system has performance requirements, for example, strong real-time performance, scalability, precision motion control actuator and force control, reliable program-controlled automatic testing, multi-task processing etc. The control system is the automated test platform with computer monitoring and control technology as the integration, because it necessary to carry out data collection and analysis, but also to achieve closed-loop control of executing agencies. This paper designs the electronic universal testing machine control system to base on analyzing the relevant technology and demand, and related features, it can solve practical problems for engineering on the application, and has an explicit background and value on the engineering application.In this paper, certain types of electronic universal testing machine, discusses the design and implementation for the PC-based electronic universal testing machine control system. Entire control system assay the PCI card computer bus controller, achieved on the test load, deformation, displacement digital zero and gain adjustment, easy to operate, offers high reliability. The control system based on virtual instrument technology, it used various metal and nonmetal materials tension, compression, bending test to computer-controlled electronic universal testing machine.It achieved in Borland C++Builder 6.0 and Visual C++6.0 environment to electronic universal testing machine control system, and used modular design concept and object-oriented methods. It works in the Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP and other operating systems.This paper analyzes composition and working principle of the electronic universal testing machine system, analyzes several key problems in system design, how to meet the system's powerful real-time requirements, how to handle on-line for testing data, how to effectively test analysis, how to draw curves, how to automatically programmed, and others requirements, it put forward effective solutions, summarized the universal modular structure of electronic universal testing machine control system. At present the control system has passed the inspection and testing, and formally put into use. The system solved the determination for the mechanical properties of materials, and get good performance. Practice has proved that the system works stable and reliably in normal environments, real-time strong, to achieve the expected requirements for the data collection, the system is easy to maintain and flexibility.It was used various metal and nonmetal materials test to computer-controlled electronic universal testing machine, according to national standards, it completed real-time measurement and display, real-time control and data analysis, result output and report printing and other functions. Main features are summarized as follows:1. Sub-rights management, different levels of operators use different permissions, the menu and other operational contents are also different, the system is protected effectively;2. Real-time measurement and display test load and peak load, displacement, deformation, and other signals, it realized real-time acquisition and control under Windows 2000, Windows XP and other NT mode platform; and realized the precise timing, high-speed sampling;3. To achieve various tests of real-time screen display such as the test load-deformation, test load-displacement, stress-strain curves and other curves, observation can be switched at any time; and operating is very easy to enlarge, narrow and save for the curves; 4. Supports variety of control methods, including the open-loop constant displacement and constant load, constant stress and other closed-loop control methods;5. With the setting expert system for the test processing control mode, provide for automatically programmed programmer to professional users;6. Test data analysis is used human-computer interaction. According to user needs and the corresponding national standards, test data automatically calculated, and the test report edited and printed for testing materials;7. Test data curve is recorded and saved the whole process, and have demonstrated functionality, test curve to achieve reproduction. Comparison of the curves, comparison and analysis;8. Achieve the testing digital zero and automatic calibration for testing load and deformation, easy to operate, improve the reliability of the machine;9. Automatically identify and support dynamic control of the external points, such as the specimen clamping, etc;10. Overload protection with automatic shutdown function, and automatically determine the specimen fracture, automatic shutdown.
