The frequent changing of user requirement or running environment of software cause the result that the software can't adapt to the changing in time, and the cost on maintainning software increases and the degree of user satisfaction decreases. The flexiblity is used to solve the problem. By operating the flexible or intelligent elements on user interface, software can do some functional or behavioral flexible changes to adapt to changing. The point or location on user interface, which could trigger changing on the function or behavior of software for adapting to user's uncertain requirement, is defined as User-Oriented flexible point.Analyzes the software flexbility and brings up a method to extracting User-Oriented flexible point. According to software measurement theory, model based on flexible point on user interface is build, which can quantitatively measure the flexible range of flexible point, and the critical key of quantitative measurement of flexible range of User-Oriented flexible point is solved effectively, so as to form the base of the measurement of software flexibilty.Firstly, illustrates the basic theory and technologies of software measurement, analyzes the basic elements of measurement model. Summarizs the popular methods of software size measurement and introduces the development and measurement process of function point analysis.Secondly, analyzes the software flexbility and its characteristics, and cassifies software flexbility according to different views. Brings up the User-Oriented flexible point, gives it's definition and recognition from User-Oriented view, and classifies these flexible points.Thirdly, build a model based on flexible point by using Functional Size Unit as the uint of measurement, which can quantitatively measure the flexible range of User-Oriented flexible point. Improving FPA by using movment, collection and unit, the quantitative measurment of flexible range is solved.Finally, uses actual case to illustrate the recognition of User-Oriented flexible point and the measurment process of flexible range, analyzes the result of measurment, demonstrates that the model is useful and effective.
