In order to improve the usability of the Flexible Software, this article introduces the theory and the method of usability engineering to the development process of the Flexible Software. Based on the in-depth analysis of the present research situation at home and abroad, a research has been done on the key function point which effects the flexible software system, namely the usability evaluation and improvement of flexible point.Firstly, begin with the usability engineering theory, it introduces the principles and guidelines of usability design, the theory and guidelines of interface design as well as the flexible software theory, which are used in the development of flexible software. Based on the analysis of usability defects which may encounter in the process of flexible software development, depending on the specific characteristics of software's flexible point, the key evaluate element of user-oriented software flexible point has been analyzed, which offers specific measurement indicators for user-oriented software flexible point and put forward the usability lifecycle of user-oriented software flexible point. Build Two-Stage evaluation mechanism of flexible point which includes heuristic evaluation and usability testing, to ensure the development quality of user-oriented software flexible point.Secondly, aiming at the problem that the traditional usability evaluation methods cannot adapt to the usability evaluation system of user-oriented software flexible point, integrating the usability testing, Delphi Method, AHP, Likert Scale with QUIS and so on, an usability evaluation method of user-oriented software flexible point has been made. Depending on the analysis of statistics attained form usability testing and the survey of QUIS, on the one hand, it can compare two software flexible points with the same function in the size of usability; on the other hand, it can compare original flexible point with improved flexible point in the differences of usability, which offers reference for the further improvement of the usability of flexible point. Aiming at the usability defects which are concluded form the data analysis and maybe exist in flexible point interface, according to the testing process, using iterative development method, improving the usability of the user-oriented software flexible point, and then further improve the usability of the flexible software system.Finally, taking a software development for example, it has usability testing and evaluation as well as iterative development, to improve its usability, to test and verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the usability evaluation algorithm of the user-oriented software flexible point.
