Design And Realization Of The Distance Education System

Distance education and teaching system is a teaching platform that implements synchronous and asynchronous teaching by means of a variety of networks. The current distance education system often does not contain the function of online designing electronic courseware, and is difficult to ensure the compatibility of electronic courseware and teaching system, which will have a negative impact on the implementation of distance education.In this paper, an online teaching system development framework Moodle and an electronic courseware authoring tool Xerte online toolkit are researched. And the business processes of distance learning activities and the electronic courseware production standard SCORM are analyzed. Based on the development interfaces provided by Moodle and Xerte online toolkit and according to design principles of object-oriented system, the system structure and function modules of an online teaching system MSX are designed. And the standard online electronic courseware production, auto-import configuration and teaching on-demand functions are achieved. What's more, a comprehensive teaching platform integrating education and teaching, courseware and online exchanges is developed. Finally, in the practical application environment, various functions of the system are tested and the effectiveness of the MSX application to the distance learning is verified through experiment.
