TV image object tracking technology is one of the hot fields of current scientific research. It combines image processing, artificial intelligence and pattern recognition technologys together to form a rising new technology that can recognize targets automatically in real-time, pick up targets' position information and automatically track targets' movement automatically from complex background image signals. The technology has a strong practical value, so a wide range of applications is made in military, industrial and agricultural and many other fields.This paper first introduces the design scheme and characteristics of a TV image tracking system based on TMS320C6203B DSP, and detail the realization scheme of main function module.Then, according to the development needs of tracker, the paper has also put forward the design proposal of the high-resolution image self-recognition and target tracking device based on TI digital signal processor TMS320C6455 DSP with the high performance, and describe each functional modules as well as the design of DSP periphery circuit interface in detail.The television images tracker designed in this paper has simple circuit and easy to work, characterized with good performance of real time, stability and reliability.
