This article uses semantic analysis of preposition in terms of natural language understanding in the analysis of mechanical products designing requirement, focusing on the means and realization of the prepositions structure and preposition in semantic understanding of chapter. Via understanding and analysis to the users'requirement in the form of nature language, the article transfers the analysis results into demand of conception design, in order to provide aids for future designs.The paper introduces the features and actuality of nature language understanding, through the comparison of several semantic analysis methods, conceptual dependency theory is chosen as the foundation of the semantic analysis. Through the researches on the preposition in grammar, functions and functional wobbles, the paper gets the method of semantic analysis,which is different from verb and other words in terms of semantic analysis methods. Then the thesis conduct the analytical study about the difficulties and the basic theory of the preposition structure processing, obtaining the preposition structure's specific classification and the preposition structure processing method in general. Due to preposition usually connect with semantic information of fore-and-aft sentence, it is difficult to understand the preposition in a single sentence, therefore needed to be connected with semantic understanding of chapter. According to each class of preposition structure, the paper gives detailed resolving means, realizing the preposition semantic analysis in domain.Finally, semantic analysis of prepositions is applied to requirement analysis of the archetypal system for mechanical worm. Based on the understanding and analysis of the users'demands, the analysis result is transferred into concept design request. Semantic analysis program is written and it runs well after debugging.
