Discourse Oriented Time Sequence And Foundation And Its Application On Product Design

The application of semantic analysis of NLU to products design is introduced and time sequence understanding in special domain in NLU system is emphasized in this paper. The time sequence and time information understanding expressed in natural language is analyzed and transformed into the requirements of conceptual design, by which the sequent design is supported.Firstly, the ontology theory and conceptual dependency theory are chosen to the method based-on knowledge, by analysing current knowledge representation methods. Secondly, time sequence and time information in NLU are discussed. To analyse time information from nouns, verbs and prepositions; about time sequence, introduce related direction words, compared words and adverbs. Time sequence in domain discourse is the purpose, which generates time sequence at two situations of definite time words and indefinite time words.Thirdly, It is done that the establishment of semantic model on the basis of time information and time sequence understanding in NLU and knowledge base. Analysing time sequence at the view of discourse, including contain definite time words and indefinite time words. At last, the application of time sequence understanding in NLU to the requirement analysis of archetype in electronic products design is achieved. Being programmed and debugged, the system is in operation.So can deal with time sequence in process domain in natural language understanding by using knowledge-based method.
