With the development of the Internet, the industry has become more dependent on information technology .Business processing and information technology have been more closely integrated together. All industries are developing of complex mission-critical applications. however, for all users, the availability and performance of these applications is becoming increasingly critical issue. In these applications, Oracle database is the core part, So, In the context of high system availability , how through the planning and adjustment to improve system performance has become a subject of urgent research.Main task of this article is tuning to Public Security Bureau's population data platform management systerm . First, the article introduced the functional structure of the system and current problems. According to the general approach Oracle database performance tuning, the paper proposes a performance optimization steps and goals. And then use the performance of diagnostic tools to test the system, the article details the elements of performance diagnosis to be considered, From the operating system and database considerations, analysis the system performance statistics. Diagnose the reasons that affect system performance. Finally, the paper proposes optimization solution of Public Security Bureau data platform .Through the implementation of optimization solutions and testing the optimized system, found that the performance of public security bureau population management system has been greatly improved , Parallel access capability has markedly improved, the lost time of query is greatly reduced, greatly improves the efficiency of the public security system.
