With the development of modernization, the number of private car increase rapidly in city, which is creating enormous pressure on urban transport, and causing traffic difficulties and parking problem. As the capacity of the city is limited, it is impossible to build a large number of car parks. How to use of parking resources existed effectively has become an important breakthrough to solve the parking problem. This paper mainly presents the design of parking management system based on the GSM wireless network under the above background.This paper introduces the various types of parking solutions, compares different wireless networking technologies, describes the advantages and the features of GSM wireless networks, analysis the structure and the main task of the GSM system in detail, and makes the choice of the micro controller.This paper focuses on specific functions of parking management system based on GSM wireless networks, presents three-tier system architecture which contains the user layer, communication layer and management layer; also completes the selection of motor and the design of mechanical structure; and then implements the hardware system, and completes the specific design of the system PSoC controller module, wireless transceiver module, UART modules, motor drive modules, power modules and GSM transceiver modules; After the detailed analysis of the PSoC development environment, this paper proposes a general scheme of the software system, achieves the software design of the parking node, communication controller node, GSM wireless networks and the management layer. Finally, the contents of this paper are summarized and that further research directions are pointed out.
