GPS timing has been widely applied in the area of navigation, survey, synchronous control, etc. The basic theory is to supply high-precision time information to user with the help of the GPS satellites and surface control system's atomic clock. On the other hand, in recent years, communication technology is focused on wideband communication and wireless communication. But GPRS (General packet Radio Service) connects wideband communication network with wireless communication network, so it can be widely applied in remote mobile management and remote control.Research into general synchronous acquisition control and remote transmission unit could be widely used in special industry, such as electric power, coal mine, geological exploration, etc. This thesis combine high-precision synchronous control application of GPS timing and wireless data transmission of GPRS technology, comes up with an synchronous control and wireless transmission solution based on GPS and GPRS.Firstly GPS and GPRS technologies are introduced on this paper. Present status and development prospects of synchronous control and wireless transmission system are then summarized. Lastly give out the viable implementation, module function and capabilities.According to the given reserach, design the model of synchronous acquisition control and wireless transmission system, and carry on the research to software and hardware key technique realization of each link. Main completed work includes three parts: the first part is to select GPRS module, design and debug circuit board; the second part is about hardware description of synchronous control function, adopt object hierarchy design from top to bottom, implement synchronous acquisition control function; the last part is software design, develop PC parameter configuration software and the unit's application software, build connection between client and server through GPRS network and Internet.This system can be widely used in special industries, such as electrical power, coal mine, geological exploration, and will have a vast future market.
