The Evolution And Status Of Science Communication Education In U.S.,U.K. And Australian's University And Its Practical Significance In China

The Outline of the National Scheme for Scientific Literacy for all Chinese citizens is designed to quickly and significantly raise people's scientific literacy. In this Outline, it is said"Nurture professionals, and tap up part time professionals. Establish a volunteer team. Strengthen the theoretical study in the area, providing human resources support for citizens'scientific literacy capacity building."But the science communication education in Chinese university has just begun. The science communication programs in Chinese universities are to be mature. Based on case study,web survey and analysis of former literature of science communication education,the author described the evolution and status of science communication education in United States,United Kingdom and Australian's Universities. The author also tried to analyze the patterns and characterizations of science communication programs in these three countries'universities. Suggestions and strategies are also proposed in the essay after a comparison of the status of science communication education in Chinese Universities and in United States,United Kingdom and Australian's .
