Study Of The Reconstruct Marine Navigational Radar For VTS Based On The YiChang VTS Radar Station

With the development of our shipping industry, the old method of vessel traffic management can not meet with the increasing traffic volume, so domestic and medium-sized ports have introduced VTS. As an important component of the VTS, radar is the main means of traffic monitoring and information gathering exercise. For some small port, its management of water small, and ship traffic is limited, the direct use of traditional VTS radar, will inevitably cause construction costs, and waste of resources, this makes the reconstruct marine navigational radar for VTS very valuable.This thesis is according to the practical application of the project of Yichang VTS. This paper is mainly Studying and improving the way to reconstruct marine radar for VTS radar, including, improve radar control mode, the establishment of dual transceiver, and the reconstruction of high resolution antenna, and propose a practical implementation of methods.In this paper, to solve the problem of VTC far away from radar stations, improved the control method of marine radar, the local control method is changed into two kinds, the remote control mode and the local control mode; also marine radar transceiver was restructured into dual-transceiver, and MCU take the charge of switching between the two transceivers, large-size, high resolution antenna is used in marine radar, so, new antenna driver circuit was needed. In the third chapter, the hardware of reconstruct marine radar for VTS was studied in detail. And the system's software will be studied in the fourth chapter.In this paper, the low-cost marine radar is reconstructed into VTS radar, while reducing the costs it will fulfill the management functions of VTS. It is very valuable for the construction of VTS in medium or small ports.
