Millimeter wave technology plays an important role in the field of national economy and security. In the field of military, millimeter wave technology can be used in air defense,anti-missile,weapon guidance, and so on.In the civil field, millimeter wave technology has a great potential in automatic driving and remote sensing.Millimeter wave radar is an important millimeter wave technology.More and more attention was paid on millimeter wave radar because of its wide bandwidth, strong anti-jamming and strong anti-stealth.This thesis focuses on the front-end of W-band airborne radar system transceiver. The main contents of this thesis are outlined below.First, the scheme of W-band airborne radar transceiver front-end is presented. The design requirements for each component are put forward.Secondly,a W-band transition structure is designed, which is used for transmitting signal between waveguide and microstrip line.Third, two kinds of power dividers are designed, which are W-band Magic T power divider and S-band Wilkinson power divider. They are used in frequency convert circuit in radar.Fourth, three kinds of filter in different bands are designed, which are W-band band-pass filter for selecting signal of radar and filtering out clutter,S-band band-pass filter for selecting IF signals after the first mixing, and low-pass filters for selecting low frequency signals after the second mixing. The devices are manufactured and tested. Some of the test results are outlined below. The transmission loss of S-band Wilkinson power divider is less than 0.3 dB(power loss is less than 3.2%)in the band of 93.7~96.3 GHz,the isolation is greater than 20 dB,and the return loss is greater than 20 dB.The insertion loss of W-band band-pass filter is less than 1.6 dB at 95 GHz,and the return loss is greater than 10 dB in the passband of 93.7~96.3 GHz.The insertion loss of low-pass filter is less than 1 dB in the frequency ranging from 0~6 MHz,the cut-off frequency of-3 dB is 6.5 MHz and the attenuation at 8 MHz is less than-30 dB.The test results show that the passive devices have reached the design requirement basically, and the 3D electromagnetic simulation results have a good guiding significance for device design and implementation.
