In recent years, Wireless Sensor Network has been widely concerned by international research institutions for its incomparable advantages. Wireless Sensor Network including wireless communication technology, sensor technology, embedded technology and distributed information processing technology can real-timely collect information within the detection area then send the information to the convergent node through wireless communication module in order to implement the target detection in complex environment. Wireless sensor network has been widely used in the military, industrial, agricultural, environmental, medical care and other fields.The Wireless Sensor Network gateway, which is the major gateway of communication between internal and external network, is the control center of network, and achieves the integration of collected data in the monitoring area, also is responsible for sending the collected data to the remote terminal by wireless or Ethernet, meanwhile the gateway of Wireless Sensor Network may handle the monitoring center's orders appropriately. Currently, studies on Wireless Sensor Network are mostly focused on sensor communication protocol between the wireless sensor nodes, in view of this situation, this dissertation presents a design and implementation of Wireless Sensor Network gateway node based on embedded.In the dissertation, we described the characteristics and applications of Wireless Sensor Networks, introduced the current development of Wireless Sensor Network gateway and proposed the design scheme of Wireless Sensor Network gateway based on embedded. In hardware, Wireless Sensor Network gateway used S3C2410 as the core of hardware platform which is 32-bit, low-power controller and bases on ARM9 kernel. Linux operating system as software platform was responsible for the management and distribution of hardware and software resources, and Wireless Sensor Network gateway was achieved by combining with the programming development approach of C language in Linux. The function of Wireless Sensor Network gateway:Between the sink and the node of Wireless Sensor Network, the data communication was achieved by wireless communication module nRF905; The data collected by nRF905 was real-timely displayed on LCD monitor; In the Web, Boa was used to save and display the collected data from nRF905, and user can visit the Web via Ethernet to examine the historical data.
