Design Of Zigbee Wireless Home Gateway Based On ARM9

With the fast development of digital information and network technologies, Embedded System is spreading out and getting popularly used in every field.For its special utility and needs,embedded design is very different from that of PC system. Modem embedded application becomes more and more complicated.It's neccessary to use Embedded OS(Operating System) in Embedded System.As an open OS,Linux boost up since its birth with people's developing,many embedded products comprise Linux as the software platform because of its strong advantage in this field.As a new little-range wireless communication technology,Zigbee technology is now prevailing,it is a limited range,low-complexity,low power consumption,very low-cost,two-way wireless communication technology.Solutions adopting will be embedded in consumer electronics,home and building automation,industrial controls, medical sensor applications.In this paper,an embedded ARM-based Zigbee home gateway is designed and implemented with the combination of the above three technologies.Major research is as follows:(1) Firstly,the kernel of Linux operating system was researched.Then,Intensive study was made on memory management,process management,file management system,device management of Linux operating system.The base development tools and development process of application layer and driver layer were mastered.Serial Port reading or writing program based on Linux operating system was wrote,which lay the root for system development.(2) Research on the Zigbee wireless communication protocol stack,the layers of the Zigbee protocol,Zigbee network topology and Zigbee routing.Form a Zigbee star-network in smart home application.(3) The related technology of embedded development was researched,especially the embedded system based on arm 9 processor and its peripheral equipment.Hereby the linux operating system,embedded file system and embedded database were transplanted on the arm 9 development board in the paper.(4) After researching the knowledge of the Web server and Common Gateway Interface(CGI),an embedded ARM-based Zigbee home gateway is designed on this base,which implements the remote control of information appliances.
