This Doppler radar system discussed by this article is based on a project named "study of Millimeter-wave automotive anti-collision radar", which is our laboratory team in cooperation with the Jilin Provincial Science and Technology Agency. It used in the field of automotive safety. As a active safety devices, the study of automotive anti-collision radar have so far-reaching practical significance to improve road safety, reduce traffic accidents, and safeguard social security.In this paper, starting from analyzing radar ambiguity function is order to determine the radar's operating system, namely, Piecewise STLFMCW(Symmetrical Triangle Linear Frequency Modulation Continuous Wave) system, and summarizes the basic working principle of STLFMCW radar. Then from the perspective of the system's overall design, choose all the parameters of the radar. Focused on analysis and research on target identification algorithms. Respectively according to fast and slow time dimension, analyzes the fast time dimension stretch processing and frequency domain matching principle, the slow time dimension MTI-weighted FFT-MTD methods and the use of constant frequency correction, CFAR detection and Chirp-Z transform methods to further improve the detection accuracy. Finally, the overall program has been matlab simulation and analyses resolution performanceSimulation results show that the signal processing program analyzed is feasible to some extent, and is able to ensure the automotive anti-collision radar working in a complex environment. By testing the relative distance and speed between the vehicle in front and itself, it timely warns to the driver, ensuring the safety of occupants to a certain extent. However, this program is just as an attempt. I hope that it can provide a certain theoretical basis for the follow-up project implementation.
