With the rapid population of the freeway, the accident of automotive collision occurs now and then, which has been aroused considerable attention all over the world. Automotive collision avoidance radar can greatly reduce the probability of occurrence of traffic accidents, thus it has great potential applications. The automobile anti-collision millimeter-wave radar can automatically measure relative distance and relative speed between your car and the frontal car, then it draw a conclusion based on the computed security distance, then reminds the pilot to make the corresponding movement promptly to avoid the automobile collision .The paper elaborated the highway's automobile collision avoidance system: anti-collision radar's principle of work, radar parameter designation, algorithm design of data processing, Radar profile design and data processing system's software and hardware design. This paper limits the using conditions of Vehicle Collision-Radar in cars while running on highway. It adopts millimeter wave and LFMCW radar, so this way makes system structure simple; the sending spectrum is narrow; system cost is lower, and the effeç–¤?s very good..The signal processing??tem is designed using DSP(TMS320VC5410),so it not only can improve the speed and precision of signal processing, but also cost down. Designing the main external circuit, in which power taken from the car cigarette lighter. Using CCS to design the software, program flow chart of each module and Algorithm assembly code is given.
