Each year, caused property loss has amounted to hundreds of billions because of the vehicle collision all over the world,about one million people's death due to traffic accident,While 70% to 90% of traffic accidents are caused by human factors, 56% of which are caused by drivers, false identification, Therefore,using a variety of sensor technology,such as millimeter-wave radar and other sensors, to improve the ability of identify the environment is a powerful measure to reduce the traffic accidents.This paper is focused on frequency modulated continuous wave radar signal processing of multi-target detection theoretical analysis. Aimed at the problem of conventional modulation in distance, velocity and coupling phenomenons, make it difficult to get the upper and lower sweep frequency band and frequency spectrum matched, so sometimes produce false targets ,the spectrum line can be matched and the false targets can be eliminated. Though the research on modulation waveform and signal processing algorithms .The paper firstly introduces the block diagram of FMCW radar, the front-end of RF and signal processing's hardware circuits and then analyzes its distance, speed,angle measurement and detection algorithms of CFAR principle, Through the research and analysis on constant frequency continuous wave (CW), dual-band continuous wave (FSK), linear frequency modulated continuous wave (LFMCW) and a new incorporates dual-band continuous wave modulation waveform with a linear frequency modulated continuous wave continuous wave radar MFSK the paper gives the algorithm principle and block diagram.Finally,to solve the probles about FMCW radar multi-target detection, the three solutions are proposed, the first solution is to improve the waveform and remove the false targets combining with multi-target detection algorithm on the basis of triangular wave modulation waveform with varying period; the second solution proposes a dual-channel triangular modulation frequency modulated continuous wave radar azimuth information according to the upper and lower lines sweep pairing and complete the multi-target detection. The third solution is that combining fast sweep frequency modulated continuous wave with two-dimensional fast Fourier transform to detect multiple targets, It doesn't need complicated spectrum lines'matching. Through the introduction of the above principle and block diagram of the three algorithms and the use of computer simulation the results prove more that the three solutions can correctly eatimate distance, speed and other parameters of the targets in the comlex environment with multiple moving targets, and solve the problems about multi-target detection, Compared to the conventional multi-cycle triangle wave modulation FMCW multi-target detection algorithm, It has some advantages such as the real-time, easy implementation.
