With China's economic development, polymer has been widely used in various fields, at the same time it also put forward higher requirements on the quality of polymer product and the automation of production process, such as the production and development of carbon fiber. All of the parameters which affecting the polymerization reaction (such as temperature, pressure, flow, speed, etc.), the most important thing is the temperature control for reactor. The quality of control machine impacts directly on the quality and quantity their product. Beccause of the characteristics of time-varying, nonlinear and the complex reaction mechanism, Batch Reactor has been a hot point for research in the field of process control. But the simple classical theory for control is difficult to achieve good control effect on temperature control of polymerization reactor, so the developed a mathematical model of reaction process and the manufacturing process simulation have important theoretical and practical significance for the advanced control of polymerization processes.The paper gives more comprehensive analysis of the characteristics of reactor temperature and the difficulty for control. Through the analysis of the heat transfer principles of reaction vessel jacket heating system, based on the heat balance principle and the heat transfer relation between reactor, the paper uses the plant modeling and the way of step response curves build the mathematical model for the temperature inside the tank.What's more the paper verified the validity of the model using experimental data and theoretical analysis.In the aspect of algorithm research, a self-tuning fuzzy PID controller has been designed based on Batch reactor temperature fuzzy control and the detailed analysis procedure and control algorithms have been showed. At the same time this thesis compared, simulated analysis and research both of the conventional PID control and fuzzy PID self-tuning control strategy. Experimental results showed that compared with conventional PID control program, the program improved the system robustness and adaptability. It gives a better solution to the reactor temperature control problem. It has reference value to the similar control problems of other charged objects.Finally, the paper did some researches for reaction control system, using PLC S7-300 as the lower computer with its programs in the STEP7 environment. Combined with host computer system, this thesis implemented advanced control algorithms for intelligent control.
