It is really a challenge in software system reconstruction project to make sure the system after the reconstruction can cover all the function points, which the original system provides to ensure business continuity. Software testing is the most important part of software quality assurance, so it is the key point for us to make sure the system after reconstruction can cover the function points in testing section of a reconstruction project.In a financial system reconstruction project the testing is full of challenges as the financial systems always have large scale, complex business logics and a large number of boundary scenes. Due to historical reasons, the legacy systems often have the problems such as the requirement document missing or incomplete. The method to extract the business requirement from the existing codes needs many human resources and long time, and likely to cause demand omissions and errors. In this paper, the experience of a reconstruction project of a legacy of online financial trading system was taken as the example. The author gave a solution based on parallel testing then, designed and as well as implemented a testing automation system which used the parallel testing and regression testing as the main testing techniques. Using this testing system can effectively perform the parallel testing on the reconstructed system automatically. It was proved that to use the system can improve the test coverage, as well as greatly increase the test efficiency.In order to solve the problem in locating the bugs, the Back Propagation Artificial Neural Networks algorithm was used to locate the bugs. A bug analysis sub system was designed, and used experiments to prove that this bug analysis sub-system was indeed effective in helping developers to locate bugs.
