Research And Implementation Of A Distributed Software Automation Test System Based On STAF

To design and implement a distributed software automation test system.We need to abstract and describe a common model of automation testing from a variety of test objects to manage the testing process effectively and to improve the universality of automation test system construction against versatility of automated testing environment.The system is designed as a B/S structure. Test framework is built into the server as an application, all the management functions in the backend and control functions from UI are concentrated in the server too. Any user terminal can be used as test machine, and users can use any operating system. End user can use the system via web browser. All the test management, job management/execution and resource management can be operated via the web UI. Some of the services provided by STAF/STAX are used for test management.No special client software installation is required for end user's software and hardware environment because of the B/S structure is used for the system. Some common functions of test objects are encapsulated into system lib, and user can reuse them directly when developing test script. System is easy to install and configure in the LAN, and it achieves the desired functionality.
