The Software Test Implementation On Oil Exploration Testwell System

In recent years, as long as the computer technology's developing and application on all kinds of fields, people are paying more and more attention on quality of software. Software testing is an important method and also a key area of the software quality; the theory and technology of software testing are mature after years of development. Meanwhile, with the introduction and application of new technologies, energy exploration technologies and tools have made great progress. As the field of energy exploration industry is so special, the quality requirements of this field's software are higher than the normal civilian system; on the other hand, the application of software testing theory and software methods on this field is not enough. Base on this situation, this paper mainly focuses on the application of software testing methods on the energy exploration filed.This paper introduces the background of research, research significance tasks and structure of this paper; Then, it introduces the basic concepts of software testing and automation testing, energy exploration, logging tools and the workflow of the software; Then, it introduces how to design test case in such a big project system, and how to implement regression test according to project's feature; Finally, it introduces the automation testing implemented on the project; The Software testing technology and its applications on the project containing the following points:1. How to implement regression test on the logging software according to the logging software's particularity, it mainly focus on how to choose the regression test cases effectively.2. How to generate concise and complete test report using the Quality Center's Excel Report Generator effectively, the report should meet all kinds of individual requirements.3. How to implement automation test on this logging system software. It contains preparation of automation testing, the design and implementation of automation testing and the key points on script writing.4. How to design some auxiliary modules as the supporting of automation test, it will make the automation testing more effectively.5. How to analyze the test result of the field test, it mainly analyze the root cause of issues submitted by field testing, and how to refine the process of software testing based on the analysis result. In the final chapter of this paper, it summarizes the research work done in this paper and presents some issues still existing in the process of software testing.
