Study On Automatic Test System Based On Grid System And Implementation

Test is the basic unit of all engineering. And software test plays an import role in software development. Because traditional software test involves lots of repetition work and costs much time and labor, test automation becomes a key focus of current software engineering research.Firstly, this dissertation introduces and discusses the theory of software test and software test automation; then it researches and analyzes the architecture and work principle of enterprise grid software Symphony developed by Platform Computing in Canada in detail. It discusses why Symphony need test automation, analyzes the difficulties in test automation of Symphony and how to resolve the difficulties.Based on enterprise grid software, this dissertation designs and implements a test automation solution—TABG which is based on the advantage of Action Based Testing. Dissertation introduces the advantage of Action Based Testing and gives the design and implementation of framework of TABG and modules. Finally, it introduces the test development process and test results based on this solution which exemplify of Symphony Feature regression test, and according to the real effect, we make a benefit evaluation of it.This dissertation mainly discussed the research and application of enterprise grid test automation technology. Test automation solution—TABG which we designed and implemented resolves many problems occurred in Symphony test, such as bad portability and expansibility of test tools, complexity of test development process, test codes could not share and reuse,high cost of later maintenance, etc. It could be a good reference to test automation of enterprise grid software system.
