Elevator, as a most commonly vertical transport device, has already become one of the important parts in city's development. With the rapid development of industry control method in recent years, some Local Bus are also applied to elevator system, which makes a dramatically change of elevator's control method. CAN is more and more used in elevator system by manufacturers due to the adaptability to elevator control. The Car Station of an elevator is a very important subsystem, which takes on the mission not only of exchanging signals between car side and control panel, and also controls the car door to open/close under a pre-setting mode. Before leaving factory, each product needs to be tested to guarantee its reliability. Whereas the car station of CAN system elevator uses the new communication pattern--CAN, and permasyn motor to drive the car door running is still novel in elevator design, the testing-device which aims at this type of car station is very infrequent. This article a testing-device, which uses a industry personal computer to simulate the running environment of the car station, reduce the input of related elevator components, applies computer control technology and software project technology to realize the testing of the CAN system elevator's car station.At first, this article introduces the history of elevator, mainly focused on the history of the elevator control system. After using of micro-computer control mode in elevator, computer is used to test the parts of elevator instead of the traditional testing mode which cannot meet the requests any more. Whereafter, it introduces the importance of using computer measurement and control technology in elevator test system, and gives a more detailed introduction of the basic conceptions of CAN, and the CAN application in elevator control system in briefly. After detailed analyzes the main function which car station sub-system takes, it researches the CAN communication system according to car station.At last, this article describes the hardware and software designs of this testing-device. After then, it describes some main modules in detailed which include the hardware modules of GPIB, CAN signal input/output, measuring of car door speed, and the anti-interference design of testing-device. As the software part, it mainly introduces how to realize some difficulties, such as millisecond high-precision timer, CAN communications, auto compare the car door speed curves, etc.
