Research On Military Topographic Information Application Service System Based On Web Service

Information warfare is urgently to strengthen the officers' ability of battlefield topographic environment cognition, the map and digital topographic information's cognition understanding, terrain effect's analysis and ratiocination, and then get more knowledge on modern war's effects by terrain. However, the current military terrain information support systems have lots of shortage which has been limited the officers' ability of using terrain.With the application of Web Service technology on military topographic information application service system, it provides a feasible scheme for solving the problems of information share, interoperability between different operation systems, complicated space analysis online and so on. It has very important significance for achieving military terrain intelligence share, improving interoperability between military topographic information support systems, thereby improves army's battlefield apperception ability fatherly. This paper mainly discussed the construction method of the military topographic information application service system based on Web Service technology. The major work what we have done in this dissertation is presented as follows:1. The latest requirements and the whole needs of the military topographic information application service on the condition of information wars have been analysed, and the framework of military topographic information application service's contents have been discussed.2. This paper has studied the geography space information web service's system structure and standard specification. On this basement, the model architecture and system architecture of military topographic information application service based on the Web Service's technology have been designed.3. The military topographic information application service system's whole framework and the web system architecture have been designed. This paper has studied the data storage and designed the function constitutes detailedly.4. This paper has studied the development platform——ArcGIS Server's architecture and how to develope web services based on it. On this basement, it has been analysed data replication technology based on Geodatabase and the binding mechanism of web services, and bring forward proposal for system's performance optimization and deployment.5. It has been implemented the prototype of military topographic information application service system, making validation on the Topographic information share, integration and compatibility between different systems based on Web Service's technology.
