To develop such an ideal Platform for electronic control engine, a set of ECU hardware-in-loop simulation system (ECUHILSS) is designed and discussed in detail in this paper. As an up-to-date applied technique, ECU HILSS can be regarded as a tool with integrated software and hardware, which is adaptive for real-time simulation. During debugging, the HILSS is connected to ECU directly as a virtual engine, receiving the control from the ECU and sending out the homologous running message of the engine, which reduce the tests and cost of all kinds.In this Paper, the principle of Computer Real-time Simulation System (CRTSS) for electronic control engine is discussed. Two set of plan for ECU HILSS both at home and aboard are analyzed and verified. A sort of ECU HILSS for electronic control engine which based on existing technology is accomplished. The designed system has good versatility and expansibility. The hardware framework of this system is analyzed. The PC as a host for the system platform facilitated the system development. The real time dynamic model simulation system was developed based on the LabVIEW, Signal-interface system simulates the sensors signals and collect signals output from ECU. Intercommunication between host PC and signal-interface system is adopted from high speed serial interface. Inspect-control system of the PC based on LabVIEW8.2 has accomplished collecting dynamic parameters of engine, displaying curves, saving data and analyzing data etc. The system Provide friendly graphical user interface, The dynamic models affect the workability and the reliability of the whole real-time simulation system.The paper founds the dynamic average value model of electric engine and describes the fuel, fuel film,manifold air mass flow, manifold air pressure; designs the signal-interface system using TMS320F2818-DSP chip, and accomplishes simulating sensor signals and collecting ECU output signals; brings forward plan based on visual instrument technology. It proved that it shortens the system development period and saves time based on visual instrument development platform LabVIEW.At last, the paper debugs the ECU HILSS, validates the parts of function of the real-time simulation system. After validation, the plan of the ECU HILSS is feasible, can accomplish the reconverted function, and achieves nicer practicability after more improving.
