In the few years, 3G becomes the hotspot of communication researching in the world. TD-SCDMA system as the standard of 3G mobile communication has been paid attention by people more and more. In the early 2009 the TD-SCDMA license is granted in China, so it makes the products of base station and the terminal to be designed. TD-SCDMA appears later than WCDMA and CDMA2000, so the researching of its terminal design and test drops behind the other two standards. Before 3G was used in business, the communication has already paid attention to the LTE.In this paper, MIMO and OFDM technology are separately introduced in the development history,research,advantages and disadvantages of technology, it does a series of overview for the technology of terminal testing. It researches the basic principles of MIMO and OFDM, and does the comparative study for the MIMO channel capability. It analyses the OFDM parameters, and builds the MIMO-OFDM system module .It discusses the advantage and its application of MIMO-OFDM system in the communication system.The paper builds the terminal testing hardware environment by the instrument which has the applicable value in the fact, and it bases on the terminal conformance test protocol. The hardware environment can support the testing of transmit and receive performance in the protocol.The system parameters of TD-LTE which is including MIMO-OFDM technology are as the testing targets. Comparing with the traditional testing method, the radio technology that based software is selected as terminal testing method. The platform is a strong flexible and open system. It is convenient for the upgrade of terminal testing system. It sets up the MIMO-OFDM system model. by ADC,DAC,DSP,FPGA, as the core structures for the software radio terminal testing platform, which contains two parts of the signal generator and signal analysis. It mainly researches the digital IF signal and does with the modulation and demodulation. It proposes the software flow of the testing items executing and the data processing for the terminal testing system.
