In recent years, as the development of computer technology and electronic technology, video surveillance technology also has been well developed. The advancement of video compression technology and development of network technology has already made significant impact on technical and application of application and expansion of video surveillance technology. The cooperation of network technology and video technology has becoming the central issue and guide of video surveillance.We had some analysis and research through the use of network technology for the prevention and control of the city's comprehensive video surveillance technology. We have already designed the monitoring part of city's comprehensive video surveillance for Liuzhou Guangxi province. The article focused on network communications, digital video compression technology, the front-end video equipment, network transmission, design issues about system center.In this project, we adopted digital and Non-compression digital transmission monitoring system, adopted Non-compression digital video Optical in transmission, take advantage of China Telecom's fiber-optic network and distributed deployment of hard disk recorders in all telecommunications transmission module Bureau regional front-end monitoring points.In the project we fully guaranteed to monitor the quality of video images and the overall system-wide network-based applications, at the same time more conducive to the future monitoring of the social aspects of access. We achieved a city monitoring system with easy maintenance and management, high reliability, high stability and high economical. We've got favorable comments from both government officials and public security organs because of good performance of integrated prevention and control in Liuzhou.
