With the development of technology and social progress, construction of hydropower projects are expanding constantly. The complexity are still increasing. In the project materials management , the information which needs to be addressed are more and more. For the reasons above, the way how the firms control materials efficiently and allocat resources properly has become an urgent task in hydropower construction process. The traditional manual management mode can not efficiently control the timely deployment , use and check and verify engineering materials. Over time, it is bound to cause a waste and loss of assets, thus it will affect the progress of construction of hydropower projects. Therefore, it is imperative to improve the management of the system of material cancellation-after-verification. The system of material cancellation-after-verification in this paper is a management information system (MIS) to resolve the problems above. It used the Client/Server two-tier structure, therefore this system includes the two aspects of establishing the background database and developing the front-end application. The database is according to the requirements of data consistency, integrity and security. The application program is fully functional, and it's easy to learn and use .The main project of the information system of material cancellation-after-verification is to control the checking and verification of the pojecet materials. According to the user's needs, it can realise the function of entrying of material consumption planning the production of material requirements of next month, check and verify the the materials of this month, making all kinds of statistics .This system gives users a convenient way to manage these complicated data.This paper details on how to achieve the construction of the information system of material cancellation-after-verification inhydropower projects with the background of the Xiaowan Hydropower Project of the actual project in Lancang River in Yunnan Province. With the details of the survey system to the construction of Xiaowan Hydropower Project, the users' actual needs were analyzed, business model and process model was presented, the information system of material cancellation-after-verification inhydropower projects were drawn, the overall control model of system and the model of material cancellation-after-verification were designed. On this basis, the detailed design and implementation of the programme were presented. At the end of this paper, a summary of the system and the prospect of the future was presented. The implementation of this system has great significance to the protection of construction quality and progress while saving water conservancy and hydropower project construction investment and improving the overall economic benefits of the project.
