News Reporting And Editing System Based On Workflow Technology

The informationization of news producing process is always an important part of media industry. News reporting and editing system is the technical base for the development of the media industry. An information system of high-efficiency and easy-to-use will greatly improve the work productivity of media industry, not only in work efficiency but also in the management of media assets. Nowadays, more and more media industry users are in great need of such media management system to meet their business needs. we will try to find out a proper solution to this problem from a recent case which is exactly a news reporting and editing system for a radio station. In this solution, some business applications based on workflow technology will be planted in a news system and some adjustments would be made to fit the system well. We hope this case would become a model or a reference for the industry users who have similar needs.In the introduction chapter, we will mainly introduce the background of the topic in this paper, the source of this topic and give a brief introduction to all the products in this field home and abroad, and list out their advantages and disadvantages. Moreover, we will indicate what we should realize in the new news system and what would we encounter in the development.The following chapter is about the related theses and technologies, including the current development of workflow technology: its concept, basic architecture and reference model. Meanwhile, we will introduce the Lotus platform which has its unique advantages in process workflows.In the third chapter, System Requirements and Planning, detailed description and analysis would be given to each work flow in the system. We also would define the system performance in efficiency, security, reliance and convenience. Based on these, system architecture would be set up, it contains system modules and database structures.The fourth chapter, Workflow Design and Realization, is the key section of this paper, we will introduce how to complete modeling via control logic, dynamite workflow and RBAC rules; after that, we will give the definition of workflow node of the news system, controllable business workflow and its core algorithm; a typical news producing business workflow sample would be given in the final part of this section.In the Modification Reticence chapter, we will pick out a suitable solution for our news system by comparing all the existing methods in this field to meet the need of documentation version control.In the chapter of The Realization of News Reporting and Editing System, detailed introduction of system architecture, system modules, related technologies and methods and problems to be solved will be given, and you can also see some screenshots of the completed system.In general, in this paper, we will apply the workflow technology in the news reporting and editing system, and realized a satisfactory system of both high efficiency and standard. It would be great if our efforts could be an example or reference to other users in this industry.
