Research On The Test Of Real-time Cluster System

With the increasing performance of high-speed network and variety of components in computer systems, the traditional custom and specific designed mainframe computers are having been substituted by cluster systems which are constructed by CTOS. Cluster systems perform as well as traditional mainframe computers to some extent, while the fore cost less than the latter. However, it is a trend that a great many of computing services are increasingly rely on high-performance computing. For instance, the large-scale websites which require the applied service that can generate high overall throughput, environment monitoring applications, and so on.On the other hand, the computing services referred above are often responsible for the most important occasion, the cluster systems need not only high-performance computing capacity, but also need the support of high stability and high reliability. Even though the development of hardware and software make it is possible to construct any applied systems, the cluster systems which can implement in real world should warrant its quality. Software test can effectively meet the requirement of high quality in cluster systems. In this paper, we tested a real-time cluster server (RTCS) utilizing a component-based test method, and designed some related test tools. We analyzed the shortcomings and problems of RTCS based on the results obtained from experiments.The main research work include following:1. Based on investigation of the RTCS and all the related test methods, one method that is suitable for the RTCS is selected.2. After the research and analyses of every groupware's function and its designing train of thought, a test designing plan for the real-time cluster system is worked out.3. The test tool of the RTCS is designed through the Socket technology according to the real-time computing protocol of the RTCS.4. The test report of the RTCS is made after the test.
