In the recent years, with the fierce competition of software industry and rapiddevelopment of software testing itself, all the software companies gradually pay moreattention on the software quality and recognize the necessary of software testing in practice.However, given the fact that current software testing industry still neither well-founded norstandardized, the level of software testing is very hardly more than spotty which hence causedthe undesirable improvement and guarantee of testing quality. In addition, it has raisedsoftware companies concern of cost of software testing in both time and human resource.The company that I served with has paid a certain deal of attention in software testingwith competitively strict and standardized process. However, it more often comes out as theissue due to lack of strict control in testing points of testing process and squeezing testingtime due to tighten timelines of project.Therefore, improving the software testing efficiency, standardizing testing process andreducing testing cost has become the key issues that need to be urgently solved, which is alsothe points that need to be concerned by the whole industry.This system addressed in this paper is developed based on the current situation ofsoftware testing practice in our company. It is made use of Web Services Architecture andbased on practical examples of current software testing to track of part of process with aim toestablish a practical and efficient auto-generated test cases used in software testingimplementation and management which also combined the feature of information sharing.The system is developed with the purpose to solve the major issues during the current testcases compiling process, which is highly time-consuming stage but also vital stage to decidethe quality of software. Therefore, the main task of this system is to complete the testing stageefficiently.The system via contol management, test cases management and test cases trackingfunctional module.The implementation of this system can solve many issues exist in the old way thatcompiled in excel, such as low working efficiency, high cost, unstable testing quality,diversified testing management which caused inconvenience of maintenance andtime-consuming and inaccuracy when querying and consolidating of test cases.The system provides the test case generation and management platform that can providethe support of test case generation, test case maintenance, test case management, test casetracking and test cases statistics consolidation. It realizes the purpose to efficiently compilestandardized and high quality test case; conveniently to maintain test case such as executing“add”,“delete” and “modify” function; easily implement the test case management; efficiently and accurately carry statistically analysis of test case, which satisfying the basicrequirement in test case compiling stage.This paper has detailed described the main functional requirement, overall design of thesystem and discussed technical implementation of its main function including database design,and analysis and development of each functional module. It can meet the most of practicalrequirement in test case compiling stage, and play an essential role to improve work efficiency,guarantee testing quality and reduce testing cost.
