The development of NGN standardization is focus of the International and domestic Standardizational Organization for many years. Research and standardization of NGN of our country is synchronous with the World Organization of NGN Standardization, and is being consistently studied and instituted. the relevant committees are actively improving the research in the fields of the stransmission network and access network, network and switching, IP and multi-media, wireless communications ,and so on. However,the basic ideal--non-connected technology, among all studies concering the NGN, is still used,leading to many defects in network safeguard and real-time security. In order to overcome all defects from connectionless-oriented technology, the connection-oriented next-generation network technology is put forward.This paper first studied the Connection-oriented NGN flat three-hiberarchy network model,based on analysis the main problem of now NGN technology including network security, bearer network QoS, network interoperability, business development, network management ,and so on.Definited every levels and CONGN function structural model in order to meet the requirements of NGN in telecom, broadcas, Internet integration in fixed access and mobile access,and actualize the separation of control function and carrying,call control and application, application and access of NGN and integration of networks.Second, studied the function of application layer, routing-switching layer and transport layer,then put forward a more fair and reasonable division of Network Address CONGN, as well as network classification,bandwidth allocation of different businesses, network routing, mobility support, and the analysis and calculation of traffic control and billing.Third,put forward the integrated routing-switching ideal and the implementation according to layered characteristic of CONGN,then combining with the static and dynamic routing algorithm and the RWA algorithm, designed the routing table differented from existing structure for routing algorithm which has good network convergence and more efficiently and quicker complish the routing and wavelengt assignment in one step.Based on the results of the above-mentioned theoretical studies,designed the integrated router with SOPC,the whole system achieved in a high-capacity FPGA, the internal composed with NIOS II core CPU, switch fabric, packet processing, routing table memory ,and the external composed with FLASH, SDRAM and interfaces.All of new ideals and the used technical means invoved in the course,is positive for CONGN development and seting up Network integration architecture.
