Supervision By Public Opinion Under The Context Of Civil Society

It has been thirty years since China began to implement the policy of reformation and opening. There are great changes in politics and economics, such as the establishment of market economy, the development of democracy and society. The civil society has emerged into a main stream, which is great important to China's economics, politics and culture. Public sphere has its own power of control, which exists between citizen and Country. The supervision of public opinion is one important function of civil society, so nowadays civil society shares the right to supervise public opinion with news media.The fast development of civil society deeply impacts China's supervision of public opinion, the subject, extension, object and the measure are also has great changes. Based on this reality, it is meaningful to have a research on the supervision of public opinion under the circumstance of civil society.This thesis begins with the introduction of concept, features and types of the civil society. According to the development of civil society, I make a macroscopical description of civil society. Besides, through the discussion about the supervision of public domain and public opinion, I try to analyze the relationship of news communication under the context of the civil society, that is, the interaction between national power, news media and civil society and I also make an exploration of the realization of the supervision of public opinion under the context of the civil society.Then we focus on the practice of multinational public opinion supervision and the situation in our homeland from the perspective of the civil society. Based on this, we can summarize characteristic, trend, advantage and effect of public opinion supervision under the circumstance of civil society. We can see that the public opinion supervision under the circumstance of civil society has important effect on many aspects, such as the legal rights of citizen, the equity and justice of society and the harmony of our country.China in transition period has her own characteristics caused by the special situation of our country, which arouses many problems in the public opinion supervision under the circumstance of civil society. Other factors such as the weakness of legal system construction, the lack of power of civil society and the irrationality of network media also hinder the public opinion supervision. In the end, according to current situation of our country, I try to explore the development of supervision by public opinion under the context of civil society from the aspects of system construction, environment building, reinforcement of public opinion supervision and so on.
