The Hardware Design Of Multitarget Detection System Based On TMS320DM642

Since the multitaget detection under the circumstance of strong clutter is widely used in civil and military affairs, it has become a difficult research problem and key technology to exactly track the target. The main reasons are: firstly, the uncertainty of sensor measurement; secondly, the uncertainty of target number; finally, the quality problems of tracking.Therefore, at the tracking system of radar and photoelectric detections, under the objective demand for the complexity and computation of multi-target detection and tracking algorithm, signal processing system must have a high speed to reduce the dynamic delay and ensure the bandwidth and tracking accuracy.This dissertation discuss the design projects of the hardware circuit of multitaget detections based on the TMS320DM642 and test results in detail. In this paper , firstly it intruduces the background, purpose and significance and a literature review of the development of digital signal processor DSP;secondly it introduces main video signals and target algorithms for multi-target detection and it analyses the required amount of computing and storage capacity of the real-time calculation in order to provide theoretical basis for the design of signal processing board and the main chip of selection. Then, it introduces the hardware design in detail ,which made the DM642 and XC2S300E as the core, including chip selection, external memory expansion, video capture, power systems, clock systems, logic control, video display and system interface design, as well as Spartan-IIE FPGA configuration mode selection and the configuration flow.And then the paper intoduces the design,layout and wire layout of PCB. Finally, the paper introduces the communication protocol and debugging results of various modules of DSP hardware in detail, the system realizes the collection of vedio signal, the detection and tracking of multitarget ,and exports the target moving state, and achieves the requested task,and sets up a well performed hardware platform for photoelectric tracking of multitarget.
