As the fast development and popularization of digital communicate technology, all classes of high speed data transmission systems are widely used and playing more and more important role in engineering practice.This paper firstly analysis some technology in high speed data transmission area and then investigates the actuality and development trend both here and abroad. Whereafter a high speed data transmission system was empoldered to a project, In FPGA platform, a lot of advanced technique was introduced such as PCI Express, Fibre Channel, DDR and so on. It attains great index in performance and effect in practicality.This article will mainly research on PCI Express protocol and Aurora IP Core's fibre transmission protocol. The main work and innovations are as follows:1. High speed data transmission system's composition principle is analysised, and the key technologies, the difficult question and the solutions in the system design are proposed.2. In the design of high speed data transmission system, technologies of FPGA, PCI Express protocol and DDR technology are analysised and the self-defined fibre channel protocol was proposed.3. Based on the requirement of system design, the research of each functional module's hardware design is introduced. And each module's design method as well as realizes method are offered.4. The realization of each kind of control logic unit method is researched. Based on FPGA technologies, the PCI Express module, the DDR buffer module, the Aurora serial transmission module, the drive of fibre channel module, the clock module and so on are realized. And the method to integrate all these technologies is proposed.5. Performance of the high speed data transmission system is tested, and the data analysis of system's main performance is carried on.
