The 10Gbps line card used to connect aggregation layer and core layer has become a hot topic in 10 Gigabit Ethernet technologies.Miniaturized,low-power and low-cost have become development goals of 10Gbps line card.With the depth study of the 10Gbps Ethernet and signal integrity technologies,this paper proposed a design of 10Gbps line card based in new 10G optical transceiver SFP+,the experimental motherboard is midrange switch ZXR10 5928_PS.The issue provides a high-speed circuit environment for SFP+ used in 10Gbps line card,so that the line card can meet the requirements of miniaturized,low-power and low-cost.Main content and innovative work in this paper are:1.Completed the design of 10Gbps line card schematic with the Design Entry HDL developed by Cadence.Achieve the physical functions such as SERDES,64b/66b code,CDR,EDC between four 3.125G electric signals and one electric 10G signal, completed the E/O and O/E conversion of the 10G signal.Completed the communication between aggregation layer and core layer.2.According to the schematic,completed the PCB placement and routing using the Allegro PCB Editor module.Completed the signal integrity simulations of these important signals,for example reflection,crosstalk,ground bounce/power bounce and EMI in the PCB SI module.Completed the Power integrity simulation of PCB power layer in the PCB PI module.The signal integrity simulation results proved that the key signals was in a reasonable layout of wiring,signals quality meets to the transmission requirements;the power integrity simulation results show that the laying and partition method of power layer and the design of the filter circuit enable the power ripple under 3%of power supply.Power outputs are smooth.3.Product the practicality of 10Gbps line card and accomplished the function test and performance test with TektronixDSA71254 oscilloscopes and Smart bits 6000C Performance Analysis System in the standard test environment.These tests contained the data lost in communication,156.25M clock waveform test, 3.125Gbps and 10Gbps signals eye diagram test,the ripples of core power and I/O power.The function test results show that there is no loss of data,the line card meet the initial requirements proved that the design of schematic is surefire.The performance test results are consists with simulation,proved that the PCB placement and routing are reasonable.
